Lagu SNSD The Boys hasil plagiat ?

Setelah meluncurkan album ketiga yang bertajuk ‘The Boys’ Rabu (19/10/2011), Girls’ Generation alias SNSD malah diterpa kabar tak sedap. Ada apa?
Ternyata title track dari album yang diluncurkan di Korea dan Amerika itu dituduh sebagai hasil plagiat. Berita ini muncul pertama kali dari komunitas 2CH (Two Channel).
Komunitas tersebut mulai membahas lagu ‘The Boys’ sebagai hasil plagiat hanya satu jam setelah dirilis. Mereka mengklaim bahwa lagu ‘The Boys’ mirip dengan soundtrack dari film animasi ‘Macross Frontier’ yang berjudul ‘Pink Monsoon’ dari penyanyi Sheryl Nome.
Kontroversi pun muncul karena jika didengar secara utuh, kedua lagu itu berbeda. Ditambah lagi 2CH merupakan komunitas online antikorea. Jepang memang sedang mengalami krisis di dunia hiburan dengan tergesernya musik Jepang oleh KPop.
Lagipula ‘The Boys’ ialah hasil karya produser Amerika ternama Teddy Riley yang pernah bekerja sama dengan Michael Jackson dan artis beken Amerika lain. Mungkinkah Teddy Riley plagiat?
